Scooby Haight

Don't be fooled into thinking that this Killer is anything but. We adopted him after he mauled his previous family to death. Come to our door with unfriendly intentions, and he will disembowel on-site. Oh yes, the Tiger is real too.

Santa

Santa came to the church party last Saturday. It was so fun. Nobody cried this year on Santa's lap, it was great! We are looking forward to Christmas, and as parents we are thoroughly enjoying holding gifts, etc. over the kids' heads. I am anticipating a record clean house this month! Bring it on Santa!

Becky's First Turkey!

Yes, I am ashamed to say I have never cooked a turkey. Raw turkeys look and feel like dead babies. Yuck!Very disgusting! Anyway, I had some good moral support, and yes, John took the guts out for me. Anyway, the turkey turned out great! My favorite is always Dad's famous potatoes & gravy...and I enjoyed pulling out our china for the occasion!
We were thrilled to have company over for Thanksgiving dinner this year! Thanks for coming down Mom & Dad!!!! What a treat! We enjoyed your company so much. Cooking is definitely more fun when there are other adults besides John and I to enjoy the extravagant side dishes... My kids are very picky, and all they are interested in is the turkey, mashed potatoes & gravy, and maybe the cranberries. With my parents here, there was more incentive to get creative!

Arizona Strip Overnighter

Found this neat spot 20 min. from our house.
Amelia and Daniel both got to ride Jackon's 4 wheeler for the 1st time. They both could not get enough.

Sunday Walk

We decided to go for a walk with our friends the Scotts this Sunday. They told us that they had run into these petroglyphs just down the road from our house. So we went to check them out. Pretty cool! I don't think that we are the 1st to settle this land.

Jackson's 1st Scout Day Camp

Jackson had his 1st cub scout daycamp. He had a great time learning lots. He earned his archery belt loop and loved it. So far he has earned his Bobcat, Archery Belt Loop, Astronomy Belt Loop, and Bicycling belt Loop!
Good Job Jackson

Local Wildlife

We found this in our guest bedroom...... Just kidding, the neighbor boys found it on our wall in the front yard. They said that this was a medium sized one. Great!

Bad Day In Primary

Jackson fell off of his chair in primary on Sunday and must have forgotten to put his hands out in front of him. He hit his head on the metal chair in front of him. He ended up with 7 stiches. And what did he get for his seven stiches? Well, 3 of the nicest SpongeBob stickers you've ever seen. Sweet!

Hmmm! How Can I Make This Work?

Baptism Boy

Baptism Boy is the self given name Jackson gave himself during this last weekend to ensure his right to the best of everything. The baptism went great. Jackson said that he did not want to get out because the water was so warm.

They Made The Papers!

Here's Jackson, Amelia, and Daniel in the Hurricane Pioneer Day Parade. The Whole 11th Ward Primary rode on a flat bed trailer with bales of hay shooting water guns out at the crowd. Every ward in hurricane had a trailer so the fact we made the paper out of 14 wards says alot about Ameila's cowgirl outfit.

A Bat-er-if-ic Tu-Tay!

Daniel had the best Tu-tay (birthday ever). He loved all the gifts he received. Thank you to all.

And as for Lagoon, As usual the Haight's stayed until they shut the gates. As you can see the kids have no fear of any of the rides. Well, except for Daniel. He only enjoyed the train and the Carousel.

Its Not All Desert Around Here!

Hope everyone had a great 24th of July. Ourselves, we took a drive up to Pine Valley to see exactly what was on top of that big mountain you see from our backyard. It is great up there. Theres lots of beautiful camping and picnicking to be had less than an hour away. Earlier in the day the kids were in the Hurricane parade on our ward's float. Well, the float was really just a flat bed trailer with bails of hay. Everyone was dressed in pioneer garb and shot out at the crowd with squirt guns. The kids did love it.

Rain Dance

The Haight Rain Dance Works!
But in order for it to rain buckets, you must really let loose your inhibitions, as seen in this sample.

Happy Feet

For those of you that wish you could still get away with wearing your moon boots in public.
You can't!
Gabriel was so excited he showed us some of his moves.

Amelia's 6th B-Day

Amelia had her tu-tay (birthday) on Saturday. She was so excited. As you can see she received many expensive gifts and she is now finely adorned with jewels. Becky tapped her own artistic side to create the Barbie cake, and yes it did have a pudding center. Amelia received many great cards in the mail, thanks to all. She now feels that she is on the same level as Jackson now that she has her very own bunk bed.
